چکیده
Objectives: Gastric carcinoma (GC) is the fourth most common cause of cancer-related tumor deaths worldwide. The prognostic significance CD44, CD133 and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) expression in GC remains controversial. Therefore, we aimed to investigate relationship HER2 with clinicopathological features metastatic non-metastatic patients. Methods: A total 139 patients (68 metastasis, 71 without metastasis) diagnosed were retrospectively analyzed. CD44 determined by immunohistochemical method all cases. In addition, overexpression was evaluated GC. Results: positivity rate 90.6% (n = 126) when cases considered, that for 84.9% 118). There no difference (intensity or density) rates between scores (p > 0.05). detected 49 (70.1%) method. No correlation found score age, size depth, analyzes performed scores, only a borderline significant (r:0.175; p 0.047) Conclusions: We demonstrated associations CD44/CD133 histological grade patients, intestinal type (Lauren) results this study need be confirmed multicenter studies including large case series.

متن کاملClinicopathological and prognostic significance of cancer stem cell markers CD44 and CD133 in patients with gastric cancer
BACKGROUND In recent years, CD44 and CD133 have been identified as 2 common used cancer stem cell (CSC) markers in gastric cancer. However, the clinicopathological and prognostic value of these markers in gastric cancer remains controversial; moreover, there is lack of comparison of these 2 markers' roles in clinical applications. A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to elucidate...
متن کاملhuman epidermal growth factor receptor expression in colorectal cancer and its relationship with clinicopathological characteristics
background: some recent studies reported human epidermal growth factor receptor (her-2/neu) as a marker that can be used in immunological studies of colorectal carcinoma for predicting the prognosis and the treatment. therefore, we aimed to investigate the frequency of her-2 expression in patients with colorectal cancer, and explore the relationship between clinicopathological prognostic factor...
